Regulate (RA-Series) consists of a series of engineering grade prismatic traffic signs designed for the pedestrian to understand the connotations of the traffic sign without clear denotative meaning. In the work’s first iteration, the signs form an intersection within the gallery, posing a potential to dictate traffic within the institutional environment.
In recent renditions of Regulate (RA Series), the signs are placed within the gallery environment to appear as if they hold a function. The traffic signs strategically stretch outside of the exhibition space acting as a mediator before entering the gallery, and cautioning the viewer of different private space sectors.
